At Sterling Home, we want your delivery experience to be as smooth as possible. Whether you're ordering furniture or smaller homeware items, our team and trusted partners work hard to ensure everything arrives safely. Below you'll find answers to our most common delivery questions, plus details of our delivery options and costs.

Delivery Costs:

Premium Delivery & Installation - £119

  • Applied to all large furniture items
  • Includes unwrapping, assembly (excluding flat-packed pieces and garden furniture), placement in your chosen room, and removal/recylcing of packaging

Standard Delivery - £69

  • For medium-sized furniture and garden furniture
  • Items arrive boxed and unassembled (including garden furniture)
  • Delivery times are shown on product pages, and our team will contact you in advance to arrange a suitable date

Courier Delivery - £6.95 or FREE over £60

  • For homewares and smaller items
  • £6.95 per order or free when you spend £60+
  • Products arrive boxed and may require self-assembly

Frequently Asked Questions

On the day of delivery, we can call you an hour before we arrive. Our crew will place your furniture in the room of your choice, assemble it where appropriate (excluding flat-pack and garden furniture), and remove all packaging for recycling.

Yes, simply enter your chosen delivery address at checkout. For furniture orders requiring two-person delivery, we'll also need to confirm delivery details with the recipient in advance.

We normally deliver all furniture items in your order together, so your order will arrive by the latest estimated delivery time. This helps us keep your premium delivery charge fixed at £119 per order.

No. If your order includes furniture, you'll only pay the furniture delivery charge. Homewares will be delivered free of charge.

No. Homeware items are dispatched right away and usually arrive within 2-4 working days. Furniture will follow on the agreed delivery date.

Whilst we don't remove old furniture ourselves, we've partnered withClearabee, who offer a convenient uplift service. You can get a quote and arrange collection directly with them.

No, garden furniture is delivered boxed with easy-to-follow self-assembly instructions.

Further Delivery Information

Premium Delivery & Installation:

Our Premium Delivery & Installation service is required for all medium and large furniture products. With 50 years' experience in furniture delivery, we are confident that we, have the skill to ensure that your delivery will be carried out as efficiently as possible with the least disruption to you and your household.

Wherever possible, our delivery crew will not only deliver but unwrap and place your furniture in the location specified by you. Furthermore, with the exception of flat-pack furniture, garden furniture, or when specified, we will assemble all furniture and packaging will be recycled.

The estimated delivery lead time is displayed next to each furniture product. However, you will be contacted in advance of your delivery by a member of our delivery team so that you can select the next available date that is most convenient for you. Premium deliveries will not be attempted until a date is agreed with you.

For an additional charge, we are happy to arrange delivery if your address is more than 30 miles from any of our Sterling Home stores or is located outside the Scotland mainland. Due to the wide range of delivery complexities to certain areas of the mainland and islands, we are not able to provide a standard charge for this. Please complete your order as normal and our initial standard delivery charge will be applied regardless of your location. Our delivery team will then be in contact with you to explain any required extra delivery charges as soon as possible. Upon acceptance from you, we will process any extra charges which will complete your order in full. However, if you are not happy with the additional charge then you will be able to cancel your entire order at this point and receive a full refund. Please also note that delivery to a UK island location or to any of the postcodes below may increase the lead time for your delivery.

Any of the postcodes below will incur an additional delivery cost and the delivery will most likely be undertaken by one of our delivery partners. While our delivery partners will provide a quality delivery service, they will not be able to provide the same level of service provided by the Sterling Home delivery teams. Non-standard delivery will be to room of choice, without assembly. All options will be explained to you by our delivery team. Standard Delivery:

Our standard delivery service is for our medium-sized furniture & Garden products. Please note that this delivery option is delivered boxed and not assembled by our team.

The estimated delivery lead time is displayed next to each furniture product. However, you will be contacted in advance of your delivery by a member of our delivery team so that you can select the next available date that is most convenient for you.


Courier Delivery:

Our courier delivery service is applied to homestore and smaller items and will be delivered by one of our courier partners, within 2-4 working days. To ensure the safe and quick delivery of your order a signature will be required upon delivery. Our courier deliveries take place Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.

We have some upgrade options available and we would be delighted to discuss these with you. Please contact us for further information.

We take the utmost care to ensure that each individual item is packed safely and securely. Furthermore, we’re serious about the environment and so wherever possible our distribution team use recycled packaging materials to ensure that your delivery and the environment are both kept safe.
